Jackery Explorer 240 v2 Portable Power Station

We love this lamp and its multiple light settings. Couldn't be happier.

Brilliant piece of technology.
We bought this to use off grid in our motorhome, which we have now done. It powered my wifes IT equipment during the journey and our camping kit once we arrived.
We have also used it at home for my wifes office.
We're absolutely delighted with this purchase and will be adding solar charging ASAP.

High quality item with a small footprint and decent capacity. I use mine in a campervan to run Laptops routers and to charge phones etc. I can charge it from the Leisure Battery when driving and it charges quickly. It is quite small which allows me to store it in a cupboard, secured with Velcro but can easily be taken out and used on the tabletop or even taken out in a rucksack.

This is a very smart light weight peace of kit. Only used once so far till next camping trip. Not used solar panels yet but I know a few people with these and they say I will not be disappointed with them.

This solar panel connector is a great addition to my set up. I can attach multiple panels to charge my units much more quickly, taking advantage of the sun when it is out. The connections are a snug fit and it works really well. Typically at the moment here in Scotland we are getting sunshine early morning and late afternoon, as such by doubling up the panels at these times I am getting as much charge as I would all day with single panels. Would recommend. I plan to get another.

As I have a mobility scooter, I need to be able to charge my batteries up every day when I’m away if the Sun is not strong enough to recharge the Jackery in time I’m able to plug in this plug ready for me for the next morning

Well made bag which is the best bag they make and the front zips open to see the screen and access the inputs on the front of the Power Station.
You could combine this with the Messenger Bag to carry the SolarSaga 40w plus a Flask, Snacks and Money.
You can slide a phone in this Case to carry the bare minimum, and with some added mini Carabiners can add the supplied USB Cable from the Power Station to the bag as its a stronger mounting point or a spare one if desired and there is a slot inside the lid for spare cables and manual.

My new back up for the campervan for long stays on sites. Using my 1000 Jackery I use this to put voltage directedly back in the starter battery when required. Takes 30 min to get enough energy to start the van.

My Explorer 1000 V2 was delivered a few weeks ago and, as I’ve had a good few nights to use it and put it through its paces, I’m now happy to offer my opinion.

I bought my Explorer 1000 because my astrophotography equipment was previously powered by a mains cable that ran across my patio. Having tripped over the cable on several occasions, very nearly pulling the complete astrophotography assembly over and actually causing myself serious bodily harm, I decided to take the plunge.

Now, with my Explorer 1000 situated beneath the scope, I have eliminated the risk of damage and injury, and I now have a fully portable system to take away with me at any time.

Despite it being extremely cold on the nights when I first used the Explorer 1000, it worked very well, holding charge over three consecutive data capturing sessions. I’m impressed at how well it has performed and how quickly it recharges.

I’m looking forward to many more sessions, both at home and at remote locations across the country. The Explorer 1000 handles the power requirements of my ZWO 5N mount, ZWO EAF, ZWO CAA, two dew heaters and a ZWO mini controller with ease. I’m sure it’s overkill for my current power requirements but it will handle future demands as my astro kit expands, which is highly likely.

I’d recommend the Explorer 1000 to anyone requiring a reliable portable power source. Fellow astrophotographers recommended Jackey products because of their reliability. Price is always important and I’m happy with the price I paid for this robust, easy to use product.

I was Cautious about purchasing this Power Station as ug doesn't have direct mains charging BUT have found a way round it using E300 plus !!

Simply plug the E300D via a Car charger into the E300 plus 12v Socket- this will allow you to either through charge from the mains or if off-grid plug a SolarSaga 100w Panel into either powerstation for the same result.
For faster charging plug the Jackery orange 3 pin charger into the E300 plus and charge into the E300D and through charge via the mains cable, again you could charge via SolarSaga 100w Panel to replace as you go !

Works great and helped me out when my battery was flat 5 stars

Excellent 12v charget for charging from the car or from a Power Station with a 12v Socket to charge another Power Station such as the E300D as it doesn't come with its own power source or with the DC8020 to USB 'C' adapter to charge via this route such as the E100 plus brick whilst the main powerstation is plugged in via the 3 pin mains lead for through charging.
Alternatively Plug in a large SolarSaga 100w Panel and replace as you charge via the sun for free !
For rapid charging with a 3pin power output on the Power Station use Jackerys orange power plug for more options- again allowing top-up from the SolarSaga 100w Panel or 2 x SolarSaga 100w Panels if using the E500v2 or above for quicker charging replacement - then hou could just use the USB C out as its 100w and the input is not via the same USB input socket !

Love it, well built and great battery

I have had the unit for a couple of weeks but already am very impressed with its robustness and ease of use. A lot of thought has clearly gone into design and function.

Excellent design, well made but should really come with a strap - use mine with Aferiy Nano100's which I own!
