* This product (portable power supply) can supply power to your device in the temperature range of -10 to 40 degrees Celsius (-10 to 65 degrees Celsius for solar panels). If the operating temperature is outside the above range, this product may not work.
The 100 Plus features a dual PD 100W design - quickly capable of recharging your equipment.
The battery type is LiFePO4 - advantages include: high-temperature resistance, strong safety, stability and improved circulation performance.
It is rated for 2,000 full charge cycles - after 2,000 full charge cycles, capacity reduces to 80%, and after reduces, gradually. (E.g. overall battery is not fixed at 2,000 cycles. For the first 2,000 cycles it functions at optimum performance, and afterwards the unit still functions, however not at its optimum due to internal wastage.
Unfortunately, at the moment, the E100 Plus doesn't support APP connection for charging control.
Yes, the Explorer 100 Plus supports pass-through charging, with no harmful affects to battery life.
Excellent combination as it takes an acceptable time to charge on a good sunny day even know the UK! - even with our usually unpredictable weather you can still charge your phone from the USB input from the SolarSaga 40 lead without using the power Brick on a cloudy day - brought one for my son to charge his tablet phone etc to keep him tech happy 😊
Very impressed does exactly what it say on the box
Not yet tested the solar panel. Taking it to West Africa, camping!. The Explorer 100 Plus has been tested and for now I am pleased with it. I wish the power bank was more robust, even waterproof and more importantly had an AC output as it looks like there's room enough for it. Even a wireless charging pad on top would be useful. More charging capacity maybe. Anyway, as I said, for now I am pleased with it. I often charge 2 items at a time from it, like Bluetooth speaker, phones, watch etc. Can't say much more than that as we've had it for less than a month and yet to travel with it. That will be the real test.
A few things which are harder to find details around
- The solar panels are all one string, so shading on any panel decimates performance. Spend some time making sure you fold out evenly, you might need to stake it out to get optimal performance.
- The solar panels have a USB-C output, rated to 15w. This seems to quite happily output lower currents to standard power banks, eg I was able to push 4w to an Anker Prime powerbank on a winter day (I wasn't expecting this to be possible)
- The Jackery explorer 100w power station seems to be able to take advantage of the full range of solar production, and supports charging another device while it's charging from a source (Eg 10w from solar, 30w to a phone). It's a little larger than a comparable capacity powerbank, but has more flexibility around consuming the solar.
- 99wh, so better for travel than larger banks (Specifically, planes)
This is my second Jackery as was so impressed with the Explorer 240 and solar panel which have been used multiple times. The Explorer 100 and SolarSaga 40 Mini are much more portable due to their size which means they can not only be used for camping trips but also for work as back up power source for laptop when away from the office. All the Jackery devices are really well made and smart bits of kit. I am waiting for their wind turbine to be made available and I will be shopping for that too.
