A great little accesory

This is so useful. I keep it plugged into to my lighter port in my campervan and attached to my Jackery 2000 power unit which means it is charging whenever I’m driving. It’s an extra bonus when solar charging is slow or there’s no access to power from the grid to charge up.

Not compatible with Explorer 240 V2

I purchased a Jackery Explorer 240 V2 back in September last year on their Amazon store to use in my micro camper to power the lights, fridge and charge my phone etc. All good and works perfectly.

Because of this i decided to order the car charging cable directly from the website. I searched for the explorer 240v2 and along with the battery the car charging cable comes up as a search result. When you look at the product description it says it works for my battery.

From website: This car charging cable is fitted with Jackery Explorer Series, including 100 Plus, 300 Plus, 240v2, 1000 v2, and 2000 v2 Portable Power Station

However the cable did not fit my battery – I contacted support and they advised me that I needed a black cable which they kindly sent to me. However this still did not fit. After contacting support again they advised that I was informed incorrectly and that I needed a connector for the orange cable which was another £30.

As a result of this I wanted to return the item – and I was told that I had to pay for the returns postage – even though your website still says today the cable works for Explorer 240 V2.

I thought fine I cant be bothered to argue so I sent it back with royal mail and sent them a copy of the tracking number as requested.

A month later I chased them to ask why they haven’t processed my refund yet –an agent called Ivan told me the refund has been issued please allow 3 days – I gave them a week – still no refund . I contacted support again asking them to provide the ARN reference so I can track the refund with my bank – again by Ivan I was told that the refund has been issued but there was a system malfunction as the order was not recalled correctly. Please allow some time for it to be processed again – there is no need to contact your bank as the problem is with us.

Gave it another week – still no refund. By this point I had had enough and opened a dispute with my bank – providing them all the documentation and email trails. My bank monzo was very good and refunded the money within a day.

Today 20th March I get a message through monzo about my case saying that Jackery had disputed my claim. I sent all the email trails including the correspondence where Jackery told me it had been refunded. Monzo have still honoured the refund

This has left a bitter taste and I don’t think I will buy anything from them again. It’s a shame really as I am in the market for a larger battery and solar kit but I think I will try bluetti instead.

Cigarette Lighter Charging Cable

In the past using these cables from other manufacturers they dont work and the reason is that the cable thickness was too thin and the contacts didnt make a decent contact and so running a fridge freezer like Totalcool you had an F1 error and it wouldn't work.

Plugged in the Jackery cable and bingo the fridge freezer works a treat off the Jackery 1000 unit and charges from the car. Solution after over 12 months.
