Q: Why the solar can not produce 100W power when charging to Jackery Explorer Power Station?

A: As you know, the solar panels are affected by many factors. such as the intensity of the light and the angle of the panel put on the ground. 100W is tested in an ideal laboratory. However, the intensity of the light constantly changes. In addition, the angle of the light illuminating the solar panel also changes with the rotation of the sun. Please try test your solar panel under the full sunlight to see, and make sure there is no shadow cast on the panel.
Q: Is the solar panel waterproof?

A: It is IP68 water-resistant, protecting it from water splashing. However, please do not place it under the rain or soak in water.
Q: How to clean the solar panel surface?

A: We mentioned this point in the manual. Please use a soft cloth to remove the Dust and dirt on the surface. Use a damp cloth to wipe the surface of the solar moDule to remove any remaining Dust or dirt. Any guano or other adhesive should be removed as soon as possible from the solar surface to avoid a reDuction in performance.
Q: Can the solar panel charge smartphones and tablet?

A: Yes, the SolarSaga 100 solar panel has 1* USB-C(5V,3A) output port and 1* USB-A(5V, 2.4A) output port.

We’ve got a vintage VW Campervan with a Leisure battery but I thought a Jackery 240 V2 powerbank battery would make a welcome addition to our phone and laptop and speaker and rechargeable lanterns and LED string lights and - you get the picture!

It was brilliant and the best bit is it worked with the girlfriend’s hair straighteners - bonus!

So now the need to keep this genius bit of kit topped up… hence buying a Jackery 100W solar panel, rather than the many cheaper Chinese panels on offer online. Hint: try and buy through Jackery’s site, set up your account and you may be lucky enough to get a voucher code!

Basically the reasons I went for the same make as my battery were:
1) Compatibility with my 240 V2
2) The sunlight to power generation compared to cheaper panels in reviews
3) The cool carrying capability with the magnetic connecting handles that turns your panel into an Ace briefcase!
4) The looks - it would be the first panel to be nicked on a campsite
5) I like the fact that they’re a proper company with cool credentials and a website that offers hints and tips on being out and about powered by the sun with your Jackery system - unlike a faceless far East firm!

Finally, although you can tell I’m a fan, there’s a problem in that the connector cable that comes with the SolarSaga 100W does not fit the Explorer 240 V2 nor any other device that needs a USB C input to charge (apart from a phone) - I’ve raised this as an issue with Jackery and they’ve promised to feed this back to the relevant team. You can buy the adaptor cable needed from Jackery for around £26 so you need to factor this additional unexpected cost into your purchase. I’ve deducted a star for this sole reason - I bought the same make panel for compatibility reasons and it wasn’t!

Works well but you need 2 for E1000 upwards

Works well and charges my Explorer 240 at a reasonable rate, however the Explorer 500 takes a full day and you will require 2 to charge the Explorer 1000 which already has 2 input points.
Weather has a time to charge effect and in the UK expect it to take longer !

Great addition to Jackery 1000v2

Held off for a while getting a solar panel as charge the Jackery when driving. Decided to go for it after using our Jackery for around 6 months and a great addition. Charges quickly when in full sunlight getting around 89-92kw input. When in shade or part of the panel being blocked from direct sunlight definitely impacts performance dropping it to around 40kw input so keep that in mind when using.

Very happy with the Jackery Explorer 300 plus works great for a couple of items that we need 240v for, nice and compact 👍👌

Unfortunately we have had a little as accident with it (our fault) we left it on the worktop next to the hob and melted the back casing, luckily we moved it in time and it still works fine, just got a big hole in the back, we are hoping that we can get a new casing (need to speak to customer services) on that mater
