Works really well and seems like it will last
Used on last trip away and needed to recharge but there was not much sunlight . Charged in between sites to give it a top up. Worked perfectly !
Useful for topping up when you are out and about anyway. Great if you don’t want to leave it exposed on a campsite or the weather is pants and solar isn’t generating lots of power.
Works well, does what it’s meant to do.
Was disappointed that it didn’t come with the Jackery 1000v2.
I’m a first-time Jackery user and honestly this whole experience has been a nightmare.
I bought the Explorer 300 Plus, thinking it would be a straightforward, eco-friendly solution. Then I realised I’d need a solar panel to go with it. Fine. Except… absolutely nothing is clearly explained anywhere about what comes in the box or which adapters you actually need.
I had to Google around and trawl through forums just to figure out what was included with the 300 Plus. Everything I found suggested that the DC7909 to USB-C adapter was what I needed to connect solar. So I ordered the solar panel.
Surprise, surprise:
• The solar panel doesn’t even come with a bag anymore (apparently they stopped including it this month) so I had to buy a universal one separately. Feels like a deliberate move so your panel gets damaged and you have to buy another.
• The car charger cable doesn’t come in the box either. That’s another extra purchase.
• And worst of all: the adapter that comes with the 300 Plus is the wrong one. It’s the DC7909 adapter that only works on older Jackery models — and is completely useless with the 300 Plus because it doesn’t even have that input port!
So here I am, leaving for holiday on Tuesday, thinking I’d finally got all the kit together… only to find I can’t even connect the solar panel to my brand-new power station because I need a DC8020 to USB-C adapter instead. Which, of course, isn’t included, isn’t explained, and now there’s no time to order one.
Result? My trip is basically ruined. I’ve spent hundreds of pounds on a setup I can’t use, and I’ve been forced into buying extras I shouldn’t even need.
Why don’t Jackery just:
1. Stop throwing in useless adapters that only work on old models,
2. Include the correct one for the actual power station you’ve bought,
3. And actually clearly explain in the product description what’s in the box?
Instead, it feels like Jackery is just being a money grabber — making you buy every single part separately, while pretending they’re doing something eco-friendly. Are we not meant to be reducing plastic waste? Yet every 300 Plus owner is getting a DC7909 adapter they literally cannot use and will probably throw straight in the bin.
Absolutely unacceptable. If this is how Jackery treats new customers, I won’t be recommending them to anyone.
Neat little power unit able to take it out on bike tours and charge the phone an sat nav
Works really well and seems like it will last
Great to be able to add more panels to my unit!
Bought this mainly to use at festivals for hairdryer, straighteners and phone charging. I had to buy a travel hairdryer because my normal hairdryer was too powerful for the jackery but my friend and I used it all weekend and it was still at 70% charge left by the time I got home. Very happy with my purchase!
My Explorer 1000 v2 is must have for any off grid portable power supply, mainly use this when camping at festivals and also used for portable power for my work tools when needed. Extremely happy with my purchase and would highly recommend.
I've wanted a Jackery for a number of years but as I don't go off grid in my camper very ofter i couldn't justify the cost.
When I saw there was a sale I jumped in and bought the 1000 V2 and I'm so glad I did! Just back from a 4 day festival where it has re charged both mine and 2 friends phones all weekend and powered my 12v hairdryer and lights and I still had 85% battery power. Very impressed. I bought the in van charger lead too so topped it back up on the journey home.
I had an issue using a coupon but customer services were amazing and put the coupon value into my bank account in the form of a refund.
So far I'm absolutely thrilled I bought one and have no worries going off grid now with the added back up of power. 10/10 from me!
Absolutely fantastic product was sat on the bench for quite awhile deciding between 2 products but bit the bullet and went for the jackory..brilliant portable beast that does what I ask of it within it's perimeter. Not really used the solar panel yet.plus autumn /winter coming upon us. Highly recommended.
I'm pretty impressed with the solar panel and battery bank. I bought it with the idea of using sunlight to charge up my battery powered gadgetary such as a phone, rechargeable radios and the like. It has so far surpassed my expectations. I hang the panel out of a window connected to the battery bank and plug in whatever, a phone is rapidly recharged, the voltage drop is negligible and remains at 100% after recharging the phone for say an hour or 2. So I'm chuffed! Everything seems well made and well thought out. Brilliant!!
Used on last trip away and needed to recharge but there was not much sunlight . Charged in between sites to give it a top up. Worked perfectly !
My explorer 1000 v2 power station with 100w sola panel worked well,
I used it to keep an alpicool compressor fridge freezer, working over night recharging with its sola panel at daytime good.A good thing to have when camping.
Yet to use in earnest when out and about in the caravan but used for drying clothes and charging devices and have charged up using the solar panels.
Excellent bit of kit bought mainly for powering compressor cooler for camping not tried out in the field yet but tested from fully charged , completely in chilled cooler switched on took it to -1 and left 32 hours later still had 5 percent battery left I was well impressed , solar panel tried also but found that it needs to be in direct sunlight o otherwise power output drops dramatically but works well when in direct sunlight well worth buying
I got 4 n half hours of battery life with the lamp 🔦 on full power its a good lamp I love mine
Long lasting handy to change my phone nice light weight retro design
When I 1st sore the price I was shocked but when the carrying case turned up I was impressed at the quality it's going to keep my jackery nice and safe well impressed top job
