However, the intensity of the light constantly changes. In addition, the angle of the light illuminating the solar panel also changes with the rotation of the sun. Please try test your solar panel under the full sunlight to see, and make sure there is no shadow cast on the panel."

    • A: We mentioned this point in the manual. Please use a soft cloth to remove the dust and dirt on the surface. Use a damp cloth to wipe the surface of the solar module to remove any remaining dust or dirt. Any guano or other adhesive should be removed as soon as possible from the solar surface to avoid a reduction in performance.

    Jackery 500 power unit & solar panel

    We purchased this unit recently for my husbands amateur radio activities and as a home backup power supply. We were very, very impressed with the quality of both the PSU and solar panel. The range of low voltage output connectors was impressive, but having a 240v output for the heating system pump and being a clean 'sine wave' output was a bonus for sensitive electronic equipment, like laptops. There is, for us, ample power requirements and the solar panel is fairly effective although only 100watts but a second panel would speed up things, which is available, so when operating in the 'field' and for emergency operations would be preferable. Also, any queries are quickly responded too via email. Overall we are very pleased with our purchase.

    What a fantastic piece of kit this is. Bought it as a secondary power supply for my T5 day van. Light and compact and powerful enough for my needs, charging phone, camp lights and running my 12v. The solar panel didn't job and charged the unit nicely once I got it in the right position. All in all a worthwhile purchase

    Wasn't sure what to expect, but after using the jackery to charge my mobility scooter I had to travel straight away as I was leaving a touring site! So I plugged in the cable in the boot and set off for home. The journey took 2 hours to get back, and on opening the boot was pleasantly surprised to see the jackery fully charged! Bravo jackery!!

    Superb bit of kit and exactly what I needed for recharging my electric mountain bike when out in the wilderness to give an extra day of riding. Very handy for topping up my smaller bots of tech such as iPhone and GoPro at the same time. Just wish it could be updated with USB-C ports.

    MOST DEFINITELY WORTH THE MONEY!!

    I was recommended one of these by fellow campers!! I plan to work remotely in my new camper & this is just perfect & has saved me so much money and time not having to have electrics built in to the van! I purchased the Explorer 500 portable power station & would highly recommend this to anyone with a few technology items (phone, ipad, watch etc..) and one plug socket for cooker/microwave!

    With the power cuts Europe recently experienced a buck up was always in mind. This runs my microwave, Hoover, PC, charges up phones and radios! It's perfect. I have the option to charge via solar for prolonged use if needed and will charge fully in a few hours.

    When on caravan rallies or other non EHU sites we can take the Explorer with us as we explore the area, particularly if the weather is not a brilliant solar charging day and charge it in the car instead. We can also charge the Explorer when moving from one site to the next. The charging lead is very robust and I'm glad I bought it.

    Haven't tried it in the field yet but everything at home looks really good. Caravanning off grid has become so much more acceptable. I'm particularly pleased to be able to use my induction hobs and to save gas.

    Fantastic solution for off grid exploring in our Eriba caravan

    The 1000 v2 solar generator kept us going for 2 days whilst off grid in Derbyshire; that’s powering a 700w toaster, 1300w air fryer and all the caravan bits and bobs, and also keeping the leisure batter topped up!

    Having a light weight Eriba caravan and EV we need to keep the weight and size down…this piece of kit does just that. amazing!!

    With overcast skies we were still drawing around 40w from the solar panel which ensured the battery was topped up!

    It's great!

    Lightweight and small enough to fit inside a cupboard in our little campervan, kept mobile wifi topped up and we watched tv right out on the New Forest, so quick to recharge using the cigarette lighter socket, great for wild camping.
